Goldy

Reggae singer Goldy is following in the footsteps of his father Willie Francis, the widely famous Ska/Reggae singer and producer from the 60’s and 70’s, by continuing his musical legacy.

Goldy has managed to blend his personal experiences and hardships to showcase his growth as a person and highlight a more nuanced outlook on life, which is why he decided to pen the song, No War.

“More than anything I want to bring about change, too much violence and corruption happening right now and it is spoiling the image of our beautiful island. I want it to stop, I don’t want to see us fight against each other; above all, race, ethnicity, religion we are all human beings, we should unite and live as one,” he expressed.

Needless to say the reception has been superb and Goldy couldn’t be happier.

“My intention is to connect with more people so they can have positive and uplifting music to listen to and that is what drives me since I started along this journey.”

The accompanying music video is currently doing well and racking up views on YouTube. It was shot in Kintyre and directed by East Side Films.

Goldy’s passion for music and creativity as a multi faceted recording artiste, studio engineer and producer led to the development of some of his best works, to include  the release of his 2016 EP Beware of Bad Lion, a springboard into the music industry.

Many people will also know the name from the track the Mini Song, featuring, Chronixx, which is a remake of his father’s famous song Mini.

Further cementing his name in the music business, Goldy says he will continue his journey to bring about positive change in the world through his music.
